Gaie France Magazine. Homosexuality, nationalism, and pedophilia (1986–1997)

The Gaie France Magazine was launched by Michel Caignet, a former neonazi activist, in 1986 while in the midst of AIDS epidemics and the electoral breakthrough of the French far right national party. It aimed at putting together the defense of being homosexual and having affinity with conservative ideology but also spreading nationalist ideas and promoting paedophilia through claiming decriminalisation of sexual intercourses between adults and underage people. The magazine was sold in news stands and survived thanks to the use of different titles to deceive justice until 1997. It was also a profitable attempt for Caignet and his associates due to the selling of paedophile photos and videos. The magazine failed to meet its ambitions as it was rejected by gay and lesbian circles on the one hand and by the nationalists on the other hand. This experience was heavily sentenced for the leaders during the wide covered trial of the Toro Bravo pedocriminal network.
